On August 17, 2024, the 40th anniversary membership conference of the China Enamel Industry Association, hosted by the China Enamel Industry Association, was grandly held in Beijing. Zhang Chonghe, former Deputy Director of the Central Compilation Office and current Secretary/President of the Party Committee of the China Light Industry Federation, Wang Shicheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the China Light Industry Federation, Zhang Benping, Executive Director of the China Social Work Federation, Liu Suwen, Supervisory Director of the China Light Industry Federation, Jia Deyong, Secretary General of the International Confucian Federation, Chen Jianguo, Executive Secretary General of the China Light Industry Federation, Zhang Gui, Deputy Director of the China Red Culture Research Association, Ye Jiaxing, Deputy Secretary General of the China Charity Federation, Sang Ye, Deputy Secretary General of the China Light Industry Federation, Zhu Nianlin, Deputy Secretary General of the China Light Industry Federation, and leaders from 17 central government agencies, 37 industry associations across the country, and 140 enterprises in the national enamel industry attended the conference.


Mr. Ou Yongyuan, Chairman of Weber Group and founder of Weber brand, was invited to attend. In the late 1990s, domestic electric water heater manufacturers mainly used the method of sintering soil ponds to make the inner liner of electric water heaters. Due to the limitations of the process technology, the industry encountered serious problems of inner liner leakage. In order to solve this problem, Weber's technical team went to Europe for several months and finally discovered electrostatic dry powder enamel technology at a German company called Eisenmann. This equipment and process are widely used in aerospace and medical fields. The enamel layer is tight and uniform, not easy to scale, does not age or fall off for a long time, is resistant to high pressure and corrosion, and has excellent sealing performance, which perfectly meets the needs of electric water heater inner liners.


So Mr. Ou Yongyuan boldly introduced the electrostatic dry powder enamel liner production line of Eisenmann Company in Germany. Due to the differences in domestic and foreign processes, in order to ensure complete independent mastery of this technology, Weber invited Mr. Hartmut Weber, a senior industrial enamel technology expert from Germany who provides technical services for Eisenmann Company, to visit Weber headquarters in Shunde, China for technical guidance. After two months of joint efforts by all personnel, the first electrostatic dry powder enamel production line in China was successfully debugged and the first batch of electrostatic dry powder enamel inner pot water heaters were produced. The problem of inner pot leakage was successfully solved, breaking through the bottleneck of enterprise development. This move shocked the entire Chinese electric water heater industry, and Weber water heaters were born from then on. At present, the entire line of Weber's water heaters use electrostatic dry powder enamel inner tanks, using high-quality low-carbon cold-rolled steel plates and imported Belgian Baiko PEMCO enamel powder. The intelligent space cabin inner tank can withstand 180000 times of pressure testing without deformation, far exceeding the national standard. We promise a complete machine warranty of 8 years and a replacement for the whole machine after 8 years of inner tank leakage.
